To my Yuletide Santa

Dear Santa,
First things first: Thank you so much for participating this year, and volunteering to writing for one of my fandoms. I hope there's something among my requests that interests and challenges you, which looks like fun to write.
Looking back on my requests, they came off as very specific, so if you feel restricted by them, then please stop right now! All the fandoms in question are very dear to me, and I want to you to write what feels most comfortable for you. I like all gen, het, slash and femslash equally, with or without smut.
Although all my requests were more or less 'shippy in nature, my favorite type of fiction is character-driven, so even if the story is about a certain pairing, I like to see what's going on inside the heads of the characters rather than in their bedroom. I also love deep friendships, especially those that are bittersweet, maybe even a little bitter, as well as tension and wary respect between rivals or enemies. I have taste for dark-fic, especially if it's subtle, creepy kind, but I'm okay with fluff and comedy too. I'm not fond of suicides, characters that are broken to the point they're completely spineless, overdone tricksters and complete ignorance of the canon. Subtle in general is good, as is conflict. I don't have any particular squicks aside from rape that turns into love, unless it's Stockholm's Syndrome in question.
If you volunteered for Deadwood, my main interest lies in Swearengen's character, and I'm not too interested in reading about Seth separately. Other than that you have free hands, which goes for other fandoms as well.
Overall, set no limits for your creativity, and most of all enjoy yourself. Happy holidays to you!
