A meme!

Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom. Any fandom you like. If I don't know it, I'll make something up.

As usual, if it's in my userinfo or if I've ever mentioned it, it's probably a go.

I've been following this debate about warnings and triggers, and while I understand why people would interpret wanting warnings as censorship it's been a little shocking to see the hostility against the people for whom warnings are genuinely important. What, you're an acceptable fan as long as you can get magically over crap in 10 seconds? Seriously, I'd like to know more about this interesting ability. Can I get one from a store? So yeah, feel whatever you want about the warnings (personally I'd like it, but my own triggers are pretty much un-warnable so I don't expect it), but don't say that only the "whole" people have the right to belong to fandom, or any other community. Fuckheads.

1. I don't hate either Jar Jar or the Ewoks.

2. I don't hate the prequel trilogy either and I think it got plenty of things just right. What it needed was better execution and somebody for George Lucas to check his ideas with.

3. Despite this, however, I appreciate the way Lucas has stood up for his vision. I'm sure he could have scored a lot of popularity points by bashing Jar Jar and I respect that he didn't.

I'm not a big fan of Jar Jar but I liked the Ewoks. I can see how some people hated them in ROTJ because they're basically teddy bears beating imperial soldiers :p

I can see why people went "WTF" over them, sometimes it just seems like people are too busy bashing them to remember that other things happened too. Even if I didn't like the Ewoks the character development Luke and Vader got would have helped me to forgive them!

That's right! WATCH OUT FOR THE FANGS, FOLKS.

1. Although he's a passive-aggressive twit with control and trust issues, I still love Jack.

2. I don't hate Kate, but I think her character would be much better off if she wasn't stuck in a love triangle.

3. As tragic as Locke's story is, I also think he suffers from a massive entitlement comment and getting rewarded with having the island all for himself would be the worst thing that could happen to him.

1. I started out loving Jack, then he screwed Juliet over so I switched my loving to Sawyer. Then he screwed Juliet over, now I'm back to Jack. I guess that means I'm really a Juliet-girl and Lord help anyone who screws her over.

1. Jack is an okay character but not that great.

2. Likewise Bigby/Snow is a great pairing but not the greatest ever.

3. I liked Prince Charming? (Not sure how un/popular this one is..)

I need to catch up with the canon too, but at least I won't run out of reading too soon.

I admit, I'm more interested in Rose Red/Boy Blue, but Bigby/Snow is the Fables OTP for me.
