Things I'm thinking about this week:
- House-finale was awesome. I'm going to focus on that awesome and stay away from the fandom.
- Jean Michel Jarre, composer and performer of interesting music, is going to have a concert in Finland on Saturday and I'm going there. (Unless my cold gets better of me.) His music has always been a huge thing in my family; my father fans him and he passed the fanning on to us, and while I'm not as big on him as my brothers are he still makes me feel warm and nostalgic. My favorite song from him is Ethnicolor, which is a strange, atmospheric piece. It probably won't get performed in a tiny place like Finland but I still hope. (If not that, how about Souvenir from China? No? Aww.)
- Finland made it to the Eurovision-finale? With this? When we could have competed with this? I'm confused.
- My Star Trek-knowledge is limited to a couple of episodes from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Can I still go watch the movie?
- This Friday Finland's parliament is going to vote about expanding the adoption law so that in registered gay and lesbian couples the partners's can adopt each other's children. Things seem hopeful, but of course people are complaining. And the True Finns proved their fail when one of their representatives asked if this means we can marry dogs soon too. Grr!
True Finns in general make me feel very unsafe, but hopefully that's just paranoia. Except according to this article paranoia might be valid most of the time. Damn!
- Speaking of that article, Damn Interesting is a really fun blog about things that are Damn Interesting. I'm still in the process of exploring all of it.
