bofoddityI still feel guilty about being into Dollhouse, but OMG!
- VICTOR/SIERRA/ECHO/NOVEMBER-OT4.
- Okay, more seriously: We finally got a glimpse to all of their real personalities (well, we've already met the real Caroline, but anyway), and I really loved how they all connected so fast and looked out for each other. I was expecting a couple of betrayals and Victor turning out to be a sleaze in reality, but none of it happened. Victor/Sierra/Echo-friendship has been one of the things I like about Dollhouse for a while and I loved that it carried through to reality as well.
- I guess it's still possible that Victor may turn out to be a sleaze since we found out least about him, but I loved how tender and compassionate he was in this episode and that he was motivated by love. Part of me isn't quite comfortable with Victor/Sierra for some reason, but I did like them a lot here.
- Though I like true Sierra's personality a lot, I was horrified that they managed to add even more rape into her story, THRICE. First she was forced to join Dollhouse thanks to a guy who wanted to sleep with her and who she refused, second this guy gets to "buy" her services and rape her over and over again, and since he's still alive in the end of the episode and Sierra is back in the Dollhouse he gets to rape her over and over AGAIN. I hope Sierra gets her revenge before this show gets inevitably canceled.
- November doesn't interest me too much yet, but I felt for her a lot when we found out what happened to her daughter. I also loved how she was all "the hell with it" about the group shower and was in possession of a steady spine.
- Caroline is in desperate need of rough edges, but I liked that her personality was consistent to what we've seen of her before. But I have to say I found a little more interesting before we found out more about her, which is something that needs fixing.
- I have to make a confession: I loved seeing Topher get threatened. Shake in your shoes, "buddy".
- ADELLE. Unlike with Topher, I love how loathsome she is, and she's totally my favorite character now. The scene between her and Caroline was pure awesomeness and I'm really starting to get into Adelle/Caroline. Not many f/f enemy ships get as dark as m/m or m/f ones do, but this one has potential to go there and I'm fascinated.
- Claire! She definitely has an agenda of her own and I can't wait to find out just what it is. All her scenes rocked like rocking things and I hope she gets more screen-time in the future. Though I hope we aren't honestly supposed to see her actions as the right and kind thing to do. (We probably are, but that doesn't stop me from hoping.)
- Didn't care much about Ballard. It didn't surprise me that his obsession with Caroline had a sexual side, but he is in need of a reality check about himself. I also have to wonder just how genuine his attraction to Mellie/November really was.
The show is definitely better now and I'm intrigued, but with the complete suckage of the first five episodes and the fact that it's The Squick Show has pretty much doomed it to cancellation. Damn!
Meanwhile, I'm not catching up with Sarah Connor Chronicles as much as I'd like to. And then I went and STEPPED RIGHT INTO A FUCKING HUGE-ASS SPOILER.
