So here's the meme I was supposed to do earlier this week.

And then some thoughts on Heroes. SPOILERS AHOY.

There were parts that made me cringe, but it feels like the Heroes I loved again.

- Two episodes and I already love Claire and Peter again. Future Peter was interesting, but what really drew me in was the Present Peter (Or should I say Weevil Peter?), showing compassion to Elle despite the crap she and her father put him through. That's how I like my Peter, thank you very much. And although Claire nearly got fridged by Sylar and got her attempts to empower herself dismissed both by Peter and Noah, she got her attitude back and I want to see her kick ass a lot this season.

- I felt a little torn about Hiro first, with the way the show seemed to ignore what he did to Adam last season and had him as the cute, funny Hiro again.. but then we got the flash of him and Ando in the future and him becoming suspicious of Ando and I started getting hopeful again. Also, Hiro/Ando lives again.

- Angela was so kick ass that I can hardly find words for it. The hostility between her and Future Peter is all good and I'm dying to see more of that. And I was almost ready to 'ship her and Sylar until they revealed that SYLAR IS A PETRELLI WTF.

- Speaking of Sylar, I still think he should have been offed in S1, but he got creepy again in these episodes and I liked that, so I don't mind him sticking around. ALSO HE IS A PETRELLI WTF.

- Despite my wails during S2 finale, I was actually willing to see him die after all before this episode. The talk about angels and being touched by God rubbed me a wrong way, but Nathan being haunted by Linderman? AWESOMENESS. I think there's a chance that he might become a villain and Peter has to put an end to him after all. I wouldn't mind that, but lets see how this goes.

- Not sure what I think of Ali Larter's new character so far, but I'm glad the actress is still around. Same, unfortunately, cannot be said for Monica, Molly and Micah, at least not yet. I hope they'll show up again.

- No comments on Mohinder &/ Maya-plot. Or maybe this: I like how Maya is showing some backbone now, but Mohinder's intelligence seems to have taken a leap off the cliff. Hasn't he learned a goddamn thing from last two seasons? And I actually didn't mind him last season. Hopefully things will improve on this front.

- My actress crush on Kristen Bell is still as strong as ever, and I still love Elle. I hope she'll live through this season and get some empowerment of her own. She deserves that.

- Not so excited about Matt's storyline so far, but I'll say this: In the two previous seasons, Matt has been represented as a morally flexible person, with potential to go evil. (Think of future Matt in S1 and his lack of issues with mind control in S2.) As interesting as dark Matt is, I wouldn't mind if this storyline in this season put him on the side of the good guys for good.

- With Sylar (WTF) added in the mix, I'm sure Petrellicest-fans are in heaven right now. And I usually fail to see attraction in incest pairings. Help by giving me some recs?

Re: #7. Hee! Not too far off the mark, although maybe not in the way you'd think. :p

I'm not sure what to think about Heroes these days though -- I absolutely love the first season, and quickly lost interest during the second season. These first episodes of the new season are still not holding much for me either, but Nathan has been my favorite for a long time now, so I'll keep watching for him anyway.

Hopefully in a good way, though! :D My enthusiasm for S3 Heroes dropped a little after the first two episodes, but there are characters I'm invested in and I'm going to stay around for this season at least. I loved the first season so much I'm still hopeful the show will reach that goodness again.
