Today, I ran into a story.

It was well-written, but I had seen it somewhere before. I remembered an author in Smallville-fandom, [livejournal.com profile] thamiris, and went to her site to check the story out. Thamiris's In Principio was [livejournal.com profile] boyan_fraser's In Principio.

So, I made a post in journalfen's fandom_lounge to ask how I should approach the situation and there it was brought up that it wasn't just Thamiris's fiction that was stolen, but her journal entries, even comments. Even her journal name.

I made an abuse report and contacted mods of the communities where [livejournal.com profile] boyan_fraser is a member (mostly Prison Break-communities, but also [livejournal.com profile] slash and [livejournal.com profile] classics_slash, and I'm going to update the journalfen-post with new information once I get any. I've also made a post in [livejournal.com profile] stop_plagiarism that's waiting for mod approval. This is just one really unbelievable, cruel case. I hope that bastard will get what he deserves.

I've been following your post about this over on Journalfen and I'm still dumbfounded. He even stole her comments. I know, you know this already but I couldn't resist commenting here too. It's mind-blowingly offensive.

Yeah, it's really unbelievable. The nerve of it still baffles me, though I probably shouldn't be surprised. :(

In case you get it here easier/quicker - I've a backup copy of the 107 ljseek saved posts. So should anyone get computer spaz, someone else has it saved.

Thanks for letting me now! I'm available at gmail under my LJ-handle, so you can mail it there. It's great that people have been able to gather so much info on that person.

Done.

Somehow, someway, I'm sure fandom will make a case or just find a way to make it clear this will never be tolerated and we will get you if you try.

I'm pondering joining one community he's on where one is meant to meet literary agents and letting them know what a piece of slime he is.

I'm positive of it, too. I think the fandom's reaction to this so far shows that people are determined to make sure that boyan-fraser's actions aren't forgotten and that he will be punished somehow. Now it's the matter of finding the ways.

I almost contacted the owner of [livejournal.com profile] literaryagents when I was looking at his communities, but didn't since he hadn't posted anything there. (Also, I was wary about lack of fandom connection.) But the fact he even thinks he could approach a literary agent is very angering.

Another thank you from someone you don't know

I'd been following the situation on JournalFen and wanted to thank you for updating as screencaptures were offered. I miss [livejournal.com profile] thamiris still, almost a year after her death, and was appalled by b-f's brazen acts. I appreciate your time and effort in compiling the situation and making it publicly available.

I can't even imagine how this was like for you and other people who knew [livejournal.com profile] thamiris, so I'm happy that things worked out fine in the end. Lets hope he never shows his face in fandom again.

Thank you for spotting that schmuck's thieving. You are obviously an observant and upstanding person. I'm very grateful to you for starting the process that led to his banning, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. ♥

In Principio was probably the first Bible-slash that I ever dared to read, so running into the same title/warning-combination was just too bizarre to be a coincidence. But it was great to see how all the effort got results in the end. :)
