Okay, so I had one more post to make. Quick recs for Yuletide.

Dexter: Intimacy Issues. A future-fic where Dexter starts therapy for real, with amazing first person POV.

MacGyver: On the Occasion. MacGyver/Murdoc-slash kind of makes me feel dirty, the show being childhood love ad all, but I couldn't resist this. It's just so MacGyver. As far as gen goes, Wayward Son is a story about MacGyver and his son, who bond and separate, then bond again.

Pulp Fiction: The Jimmie Situation. Jules tells Vincent a story and two about his friend Jimmie.

Deadwood: The Founding of the Famous Gem Saloon and Other Historic Tales of the Early Days of the Camp of Deadwood. Three people and their first days in Deadwood, with Al as a common theme. Reading this made me really miss the show.

Bible: The Testimony of Batsheba. Batsheba turned out to be the female character of the year in this year's Yuletide for me, and I loved her in this story. Also recommended are Writhed in the Birthing of Her, which also tells about two other women, and Wild Honey, which is actually about David, but still has an interesting Batsheba.

Fairytales: Carte Blanche. A beautiful, creepy retelling of Snow White, showing an alternative way for the step mother to deal with Snow White. Watch out for incestuous femslash. The Troll Princess, on the other hand, is a different take on East of the Sun, West of the Moon. Short, but satisfying.

Ultimate X-Men: Prologue to a Wolf. Glimpse into the childhood of Pietro and Wanda, written in beautiful, fairytalish style.

Batman Begins: The Highest Reaches of Hell. Bruce Wayne and definition of hell. Also good is Q & A, where we get to meet Vicki Vale, who is out to uncover the truth about Bruce Wayne.

Kill Bill: Hina Matsuri. Creation of Gogo Yubari. In most Kill Bill-fic I've seen, Gogo was wrong already from the start, so this was a refreshening change to that.

Angels in America: And I Ask for the Sea. A wonderful gen fic about Harper and water. I have this huge thing for water imagery in fiction, so this was a wonderful read.

Commercials: Hanging Out, BFF. This has got recced quite a lot already, but I guess one more doesn't hurt: it's just a very clever story about Mac and PC. Points for hilarious Vista Security, too.

Egyptian Mythology: Seven Songs. Set speaks. This one has such beautiful prose that I have hard time finding words to describe it. Just read.

Fifth Element: Public Interest. A hilarious story in which an unfortunate reporter tries to get a story out of Korben and Leeloo. Very fun story with an entertaining OC.

Discworld: Blue Screen of Death. Death encounters something really interesting. I rarely dare to take the chance with Discworld-fic, but I'm glad I took it with this one: it captures the style and spirit of the series really well.
