The OTP Meme

I've been wanting to try this meme.

Name your 10 absolutely favorite couples (het/slash/canon/fanon) and ask people to see what trends they notice about your couples. Try to pick different fandoms.

The reason I haven't yet is that I'm not a shipper by nature. My favorite relationships in fandom are almost without exception gen relationships, and I usually can't get behind a shippy ship unless it works on me on the gen level as well. So I'll do this in two ways: the gen version and the shippy version.

Rewrite: Struggles Unknown

Last year I wrote a Dark Knight-fic for femgenficathon, and was rather unhappy with it for reason I couldn't quite identify. When the opportunity came I asked kimouski to take a look at it, and this is the result.
