TV Meme continues

bofoddityAfter a giant pouring of TMI, it's time to return to the regular stuff. Time for meme!
Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this TV season)
This one's easy: The Vampire Diaries. I was happy to have True Blood as my only vampire show to watch, but since the fandom was buzzing about this one and I can never resist buzz, so I gave Vampire Diaries a chance, and discovered that it was pretty much Roswell (which I loved) with vampires. Later it turned out it was Roswell with vampires and also with a very good head on its shoulders, and somehow it turned from entertaining cheese into an actually good show. The perks include tons of female characters to adore (Elena! Bonnie! Caroline!), Ian Somerhalder playing the main bad boy and managing to be both despicable and hilarious as hell at the same time, successful portrayal, of vampires who can be genuinely sympathetic but are still very much vampires, as well as tons of female characters to adore (Anna! Pearl! Katherine!). It's awesome and makes me have feelings for it, so I'll be watching it next season too.
Day 04 - Your favorite show ever
Being the shameless cheater, I'm going to cheat right now: This one's a tie between Deadwood and Farscape. I worshiped Farscape on my knees a while ago here and all of it is still true, so I'm going to say a few things about Deadwood instead. It has the best cast ever (Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane, Molly Parker.. the list goes on), it has characters in all shades of grey (Al Swearengen especially, as well as many awesome women), it's a gritty western on TV. It's perfect, or would have been if it hadn't been exiled from TV.
Day 05 - A show you hate
I don't think there is any show I actually hate (of if there is I've pushed it out of my mind), though I hate seasons of certain shows a lot. If Supernatural S3 was a show of its own I'd hate it.
Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite TV show
While I have many favorite episodes in both Farscape and Deadwood, there's no episode that would absolutely rise over all the other episodes (except maybe Into The Lion's Den in Farscape, but that's a two-parter). So I'll cheat again and pick an episode from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, also a show that I love a lot, and that episode is Once More With Feeling. Just perfection from start to end and I don't think I ever felt more for Buffy than I did in that episode. Also, the song parts were awesome.
Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Cheating again, and picking Malleus Maleficarum from Supernatural. Full fucking stop.
Day 08 - A show everyone should watch
Farscape! Take note of the complete lack of hesitation here.
My vacation also started today which means.. well, visiting a few doctors for starters, but also writing! My 750 words count is past 20 000 at the moment, so in theory that should mean things are going great for me on that front.
