In non-faily vein,
kimouski's poll about the Fandom Classifieds is still alive and in need of responses! She has also a fabulously evil Phoenix/Logan-drabble that people desperately need to see.
And now, the meme responses!

1. Star Wars - My first fandom ever, and still the most loved, though I haven't been active in it for years. (Blame that on a wish-fulfillment Sue embarrassment, as fortunately as she never went public.)
2. Final Fantasy VII - Despite disagreeing with rest of the fandom about, well, everything, this was a huge deal for me and I'm still stuck on it. Despite still disagreeing with the rest of the fandom about everything.
3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel - As overrated both Whedon and his shows are, these two were and will always be huge things for me. I loved the Angel the show a little more, but Buffy is my most favorite female character ever.
4. Farscape - An universe that's both quirky and dark, characters who are amazing and who get amazing development, the best het ship ever, the best transportation ship ever, and even the suckiest season was worth trying. What's not to love?
5. Marvelverse - My comic reading is really random and so is my fannishness, but it's something I always go back to, with a lot of love. X-Men was the most important section to me, but eventually I branched out.

1. Farscape, John/Aeryn - The best het ship ever. Both the character and the actor chemistry were top-notch, and I loved how their relationship was about them developing individually instead of being just two halves of the main romance. And seriously, I haven't seen hotter chemistry ever since.
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Buffy/Faith - Sure, I like and dislike both Buffy/Angel and Buffy/Spike, but Faith was the one I really wanted to see Buffy with. I've always been a sucker for love-hate kind of dynamic and these two mastered that to perfection, though I also thought they had much more to bond over than not, which a lot of fans disagree about.
3. Lord of the Rings, Legolas/Gimli - I have a feeling I should be ashamed of this, but I can't. They were just so awesome in the books, and I always hated how the movies chose to ignore their friendship in favor of making fun of Gimli. Come on, they went to the sea together! Some buddy-copness shouldn't have been too much to ask for.
4. House MD, House/Wilson - I don't get as excited over slash pairings as I did as a teenager these days, but this pairing is a huge exception to that. The pranks, the manipulation, the brutal honesty, the devotion, the emotion, they have it all.
5. Ranma ½, Ranma/Akane - Cranky people in a relationship seems to be my thing, and this ship is probably the ultimate poster child for that. They clashed more than connected, but whenever they did the latter I went as soft as butter.

1. Watch Happy Tree Friends. (Should you google, watch out: very violent!)
2. Play silly games on the Internet (like this) or Chip's Challenge. Anything that's ridiculously addictive basically.
3. Lose myself in TV Tropes!
4. Start organizing things (which I generally suck at)...
5. ..or actually start doing the important things that I'd otherwise push all the way to the last moment. Sign of true boredom!
For
kimouski.
1. And The City Is Full Of Light, Batman Begins gen. Could have been probably more well executed, but I'm still incredibly pleased with it and I've tried to get started with the expanded version ever since I wrote it, though I'm struggling with TDK's effect right now.
2. On Fate and Flight of Time, French Revolution slash. Probably the only story I was completely satisfied with from my last year's batch, and though it didn't get a lot of attention in Yuletide I think it was one of the better ones I've ever done.
3. Forge Anew, FFIX het. Another story that I was really pleased with despite it not getting a lot of attention, though I totally did a great job with it. And yes, I like it enough that I actually felt like writing that out for real.
4. Madonna, Silent Hill het. This could have been pulled together a little better too, but I think the atmosphere and the imagery were just right in this one, and I liked writing Cynthia.
5. A Walk, Final Fantasy VII gen. I like horror a lot as a genre, but of course trying to write some myself is like stepping into an insecurity hive. But I think I pulled this off really well.
For
kimouski. Not the definite things since I'd have easier time naming my favorite authors and my feelings about stories vary, but these stories have always been solidly near the top.
1. Choices by Siubhan, Phantom Menace slash AU. Obi-Wan/Maul was the first slash pairing I ever ran into, and stories like this also helped me to ship it for a while. It's an AU where Sidious faces Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan instead of Maul, and an extremely screwed Maul ends up in Obi-Wan's care. Very dark and very well-characterized.
2. Phoenix Burning by Yahtzee, a Buffy the Vampire Slayer gen AU. Unlike most fandom I liked S6 (though it had its crap), but this AU would have still been a great way to bring Buffy back from dead, and then have her survive from that. It's plotty, long and has an awesome Buffy.
3. The Stepford Trilogy by Kernezelda, Farscape gen AU. (Link goes to the crack_van rec with links to all parts.) What does John Crichton do when he loses everything he cares for and more? Survives. This trilogy is an AU take of how wrong things could have gone during "Into the Lion's Den", then breaks poor Crichton into pieces and has him pick up the pieces. It's a very dark tale, but it has one of the best Crichtons I've ever seen.
4. We All Fall Down by Bec, a Harry Potter femslash AU. By now it's probably clear that "everything goes wrong" AUs are pretty much my favorite kind of stories, and this one is no different. This one has Hermione going crazy in captivity, and an equally messed up Ginny joining her. This was written before OotP so the characterizations don't match, but it's still a great piece.
5. Safety In Numbers, a X-Men Movieverse het. Finally a non-AU! But since it's Wolverine/Rogue, it's still on the moody side of the Force. Although I loved Wolverine/Rogue-relationship in the first movie too, this story was the one that single-handedly sold the full idea of the pairing to me and I still love the living hell out of it. Great characterization for Rogue, and some amazing smut too.
And since I'm a cheater, I feel I also have to mention Don Rosa's comic series Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck (available here), which is probably the embodiment of a fantastic fanfic: a loving and thorough tribute to an obviously well-loved character.
