Maybe one day posts like this will be natural truths: On Men and Rape.
Also, a couple of drabbles.
Title: Acquittals
Fandom: Final Fantasy IX
Pairing: Cid/Hilda, implied Kuja/Hilda
Rating: G
Words: 100
Summary: Hilda doesn't forgive yet.
A/N: Written for The Final Fantasy OTP War Thread.
It's only after Garnet and her friends have gone when Hilda's husband asks her:
"Did he hurt you?"
Hilda looks past him, observing how his face becomes devastated in the edge of her vision. So Cid still loves her; his wanderings have made that hard to believe. She stretches his torment for a while before shaking her head.
"I'm relieved," Cid says, smiling. Hilda doesn't tell him she doesn't feel the same way.
Only after Kuja's death does she allow the relief to come, herself to enter her husband's rooms again. Her temptation is gone; absolution is no longer needed.
Title: Drawn In
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII: OGC
Character/Pairing: Lucrecia, pre-Hojo/Lucrecia
Rating: G
Words: 100
Summary: How a scientist falls.
Lucrecia liked sterility. She liked the cold, the void of emotion. It was one of the reasons that had drawn her to science, the comfort of facts and theory.
Absence of human interaction wasn't something she wanted, and she was happy to be in company of her intellect. What she didn't welcome was the smells that came along, the sweaty armpits, the hints of shampoo. They distorted the lab air.
The exception to that was Hojo, the faint metal of needles the only scent on him. His mind was like his body, iron cold, and Lucrecia found him incredibly attractive.
