bofoddityMaybe this has changed by the time I'm posting this, but at some point the first thing that showed up when you searched with the word 'homosexuality' was "The Parent's Guide to Preventing Homosexuality".
WHAT.
Here is the full list of books that have been removed. Aside from LGBT-books, several books about feminism have also been removed, Kate Bornstein's "Hello Cruel World: 101 Alternatives to Suicide for Teens, Freaks and Other Outlaws" has also been removed.
Because yes, the most important thing that will keep our children safe is to take away something that may help them NOT to commit suicide. I'm sure both my teenager and adult selves would have been extremely grateful about this.
Smart Bitches Trashy Books suggested google bombing Amazon Rank. My journal shouldn't be indexed, but I'll do it anyway.

Of course, Amazon is now claiming it was a glitch. LOL.
eta: Is Amazon Homophobic? reveals this has been going on for a while already. More specifically, it has been going on like this.
