To Yuletide Santa

Dear Santa,
First, I must apologize for being an ass and not writing this letter sooner; I hope my lateness hasn't ruined your start! Second, the most important part: Thank you so much for participating this year, and being interested in one of my fandoms! I hope you find my request challenging, as well as interesting and fun to write.
Most of my requests this year were very gen heavy, and that reflects my usual tastes in fandom. My favorite type of fiction is character-driven, and more insightful the story gets about the characters it tells about, the better it is. I like tension and wary respect between rivals and enemies, friendships with bittersweet flavor; emotional intensity is what makes a fictional relationship to me, whether it's gen, het, slash or femslash. I have a taste for darkfic, especially the kind where the darkness is subtle and hides beneath the surface. My dislikes include characters getting overly depressed, suicidal or broken, overdone smugness of dastardly characters, insensitive tricksters and complete ignorance of canon.
I tried to keep my requests as nonrestrictive as possible, and I won't mind if you take even further liberties with my requests. Yuletide should be fun, so the last thing I want to do is tie your hands too much. However, if it's more detail you want, I have some.
Deadwood - Swearengen was the main attraction of Deadwood to me, so the Deadwood-request is all about him to me. Swearengen/Bullock was the OTP of the show for me, and I would love to see some slash with them, but if you're not okay with that, it's fine. Like I said before, gen is the way to go for me most of the time, so that's more than fine for me.
I also have a strange fondness for Cy, who doesn't have the sympathetic side that Al has, but who I think had at least some humanity to him. His interactions with Joanie were on the bitter side, but I thought I saw some twisted caring there. If you'd like to give Cy a shot, I'd like to see something about that humanity.
Fantastic Four - There doesn't seem to be much Doom-fic in general, even less something that really goes into his mind, so something introspective about him would be nice. (Maybe something about him and Latveria) I also find his relationships with Reed and Namor very interesting, so something either of them would be good, whether it's slash or gen. But as I said in the request, neither of them are necessities.
As for what kind of Doom I like, here are some
scans_daily-links to help you:
The Astonishing Doom, Post 1
The Astonishing Doom, Post 2
The Astonishing Doom, Post 3
The Astonishing Doom, Post 4
Series of posts from Doom's own series. Slightly on the cracky side, but very fun.
For more serious Doom there are these posts:
Sue suffers complications as she begins to give birth to Valeria, and Johnny goes to Doom for help.
Doom.. well, Doombot meets Storm, but I see this as being IC for Doom.
What if Doom became the Sorceror Supreme?
Scans from Emperor Doom, with Doom/Namor-interaction.
Thunderbolts - I like magnificent bastards, and I like Norman Osborn. I've enjoyed him in Thunderbolts, and he has had some very interesting interaction with the other team members, especially Moonstone and Songbird. Norman/Songbird and Norman/Moonstone are highly encouraged, but I like the both relationships on gen level as well, and seeing Norman interact with anybody on the team is wonderful enough. I also like Songbird and Moonstone individually, so if Norman doesn't strike you as a character, I'd like to see gen about either of them. General darkfic about all characters also goes.
The Simpsons - I got an urge lately to rewatch all Sideshow Bob-episodes and that left me with a need to see some fic about him, and what makes him what he is. Something in which he meets older Bart would be awesome, but any sort of insight into his head is welcome. No slash for this one, though.
Conflicted characters and relationships tend to be my usual Yuletide-theme, and as you can notice, this one is no exception. You can interpret the requests as lightly or darkly as you want, though. Whatever feels comfortable for you is fine for me, and none of the details I mentioned here are absolutely necessary; the fandoms and the characters themselves are the most basic requirements. So don't feel you need to stress over it. All I want is for you to have great time and enjoy yourself. Thank you once again, and Happy Holidays!
