So, the trend with S4 Lost seems to be that every brilliant episode is followed by not so good one, so after very awesome Desmond-episode, I found Juliet-one just slightly disappointing. But it was still pretty good.

- Juliet! I was disappointed that we didn't get to learn anything really new about her (okay, Goodwin/Juliet was new, but I didn't find it terribly interesting), we still got some new insight into her, and I love that Elisabeth Mitchell got a chance to rock. However..

- I wasn't sure what to think about Ben/Juliet. There's always been something intense in their dynamic, so this didn't come out of nowhere, but I didn't like how they portrayed Ben. Emerson was great as usual, and Ben being obsessive certainly isn't out of character, but I expected him to be much more subtle about it. I think I would be more worried about Juliet if that had been the case, but now I just rolled my eyes.

- On the other hand, Jack/Juliet-kiss drew a squee out of me despite the "look how much he cares about Kate!!!1!" moment earlier. And that he didn't give a damn about threat of Ben. How come everything romantic except for Kate/Sawyer/Jack-triangle gets done right in this show?

- So while I wasn't impressed with the flashback!Ben, I loved the present Ben's effortless manipulation of Locke. That's my creep. His "see you guys at dinner!" to Sawyer and Hurley was pure comedy gold.

Also, despite his claim to Locke that the Others would have stormed Camp Locke already if they had any interest in freeing him, the fact he was able to send a message to Juliet despite being imprisoned shows that he still has all the strings in his hands. Gotta love that man.

- Claire's scene might have been short, and my usual reaction to her remains in the "aww, her accent!" range, but she was great with Locke in this episode. I loved how she ducked Locke's nasty use of dead!Charlie-card. I wonder how long this new spine is going to last.

(A geeky question: Claire making it out of the island without outing herself as Aaron's mother. Possible or not?)

- I'm 100 % sure that Ben's man on the boat is Michael. When do we get that appearance, huh?

- Daniel = geektastic cuteness win. That's all.

And now some eyecandy: Naveen Andrews and Elisabeth Mitchell in TV Guide. Serious hotness ahead. The pictures are attached to an article, so you might run into spoilers, though I wasn't personally traumatized.
