Stuff! And stuff!

I have things to share!

- This post is a description of my life. I'm actually okay with this.

- For Mad Men-fans and friends of clothes, be sure to check Tom & Lorenzo's (who run an awesome blog about fashion and TV-shows) series on clothes in Mad Men and what those clothes tell about their wearers. Awesome stuff.

- My 750 Words process keeps on being a process, and after last week's break of the word dam in general this week was all about my creativity dam breaking, which means I have finally reached that stage again where I don't hate everything I write. YES! \o/

- Thanks to this I'm finally, FINALLY getting around to posting my woefully late [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti fic, after which I'll write the other stuff I've promised to people. A lesson learned: Don't participate in these events gain because this is PATHETIC AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED, SELF.

- I've been riding on a massive emotional roller-coaster for, like, forever, ranging from life changes to a long-time identity issue, but now things are starting to click in place. I feel extremely great over this.

- Will get around to posting the posts for my latest meme (LJ/DW) as well as the memes [livejournal.com profile] mrasaki tagged me for a long time ago (seriously, who is late in doing meme answers?). But in order to aid myself in getting rid of the "never post anything ever" habit, here is a 30 Days Of TV Meme.

Day 01 - A show that should never have been cancelled

Oh, where to even begin? So many shows, so little time, so it's best to go with the most recent unfair termination: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. As much as I fan the Terminator-movies, I didn't actually have very high expectations for this show, wondering how they would deal with the existence of the third movie and with the fact Linda Hamilton was not Sarah Connor, but in the end it drew me in. In the end I was spellbound by the subtle complexity of Lena Headey's Sarah, by Sarah's relationship with John, by Derek Reese (speaking of whom, who would ever have thought Brian Austin Green would do such a good job of bringing him life?), by the terminators and their struggles with humanity (with all due respect to the awesome Cameron, my greatest interest lied in John Henry and the Weavers), by how well the show dealt with its complex, multidimensional characters and with the equally complex themes of humanity, what is right and what is worth fighting for. The main reason I still haven't watched the fourth Terminator-movie is that I'm pretty sure it further terminates (like I wouldn't use that pun!) the existence of the show and I just don't want that to happen.

So those were my thoughts on a show that shouldn't have been cancelled. Here are the other days:

Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching
