linkspam, there is compilation about posts dealing with LGBT issues and slash fandom. Short summary of the theme: Liking slash does not equal understanding LGBT issues.
There is also this post about a trans woman who is in a coma, and whose family is reversing her transition. Family she trusted to love her. Her family chose to betray her and it's fucking horrifying.

It's a good reminder to me that I need to do more for the GLBT community, too.
